A graduate of the Medical College of Georgia (MCG), Tristan Cummings obtained his Master of Science degree in medical illustration in 2008.  He has excelled in graduate level science courses, which include: human anatomy with dissection, pathology, physiology, histology, immunology, neuroanatomy, and neurobiology.

   Although he is a recent graduate, Tristan’s illustrations have earned him multiple awards.  His experiences include working alongside surgeons in the operating room, working one-on-one with clients from Occupational Therapy, Dental Hygiene, and Physician Assistant Programs at MCG. 

   Tristan was also selected as an intern at the Mayo Clinic's department of medical illustration during the summer of 2008. He worked as a full-time staff illustrator on independant as well as team-based assignments. Although his internship has ended, the Mayo Clinic continues to utilize Tristan's talents by using him as one of their freelance medical illustrators.

   Tristan also has extensive marketing and management experience, as well fine-art training.  Always excited when approached with a new project, Tristan strives to solve visual communication problems, and make medical art work.
